Hilarious Vietnam

Just had History Tutorial. It was a joke man.

We were doing economic developments in Burma and Vietnam. Sounds dry? I agree...at first.
But when we got to the part about command economy, Mr Mao (yeah...my history teacher is a mao) just can't help using the word 'hilarious" like 8 eight times.

Alright. let me share with you all one of the failures of the Vietnam Command Economy.
Decision-making was the fault. It was so commanded that even the most minor of decision had to be made by the state. If a beer machine had a machine with a faulty ball-bearing, they need to inform their General (no president there), so that he can get a new bearing from Russia. Still don't get it? Nevermind. below was what Mr Mao said to explain to us.

" Suppose I want to start a History revision Course in the June Holidays for you all and we are in January now. So I go to Mr Nathan (our HOD humanities) and tell him my plan. Mr Nathan says: " oh, that sounds good, why don't you go draft a proposal and we'll talk about it."
So off went mr mao with his proposal and he was back in nathan's office two months later. Then, nathan says: "It's a perfect plan, let's bring it up to mr kwek (our duckie principal)."

So the two marched off into the principal's office and presented mao's proposal. Mr Kwek says: "I'm not very comfortable with the trainer you engage, can we get aother one? Oh yeah, and i prefer the proposal to be in Comic Sans, font size 16...hehe."
So mr mao go do his proposal again, this time in comic sans of course. When he finally presented the proposal to Kwek again, it was August le. Kwek says again: "that looks like a brilliant plan, i shall bring it up to the cluster superintendent"

So kwek, nathan and mao wen to see the superintendent who then said that it was such a fabulous idea that should be introduced to the entire cluster. And again, poor mao have to go work on his proposal, but this time, the superintendent prefered Tahoma with size 18.5.
When the superintendent saw the draft proposal, he commented on mao for his terrific idea and suggested bringing it up to tharman shanmugaratnam (the minister for education).

So now, the superintendent, kwek, nathan and mao marched to buona vista to see tharman with the proposal. Mr tharman then said that he was a marvelous course...perhaps we should allocate more resources to it!!
So poor mao need to edit his proposal again. by this time, it is december and our A'levels is just over. but nevermind, for the next batch then.
Surprinsingly, Mr tharman wasn't too particular about the fonts. "Hmm...this seems like a grand master plan. let's bring it up to the Prime Minister..."

You get what I mean....so it's like ten years later, when we meert Mr Mao down the road, we can ask him about the proposal he was working on then... He would then say it is now awaiting approval from the Secretary general of the United Nations. crap.
